A NUMBER of new speed limits are set to be introduced on roads across Aylesbury.
Decisions will be taken on new restrictions for highways in Weston Turville and Haddenham in the coming weeks.
Here’s where Bucks transport bosses are looking to impose new limits.
Dollicott Road, Haddenham
A proposal for a 20mph limit on this road has been issued.
This has been brought forward as there is more vehicle and pedestrian traffic on this road following housebuilding in the area.

A consultation found 91 per cent of people asked agreed with this proposal.
Bernwood councillor David Lyons wrote: “I support the proposals, though they do not go far enough to address the community's desire for a general 20mph limit in the village as expressed in the approved neighbourhood plan.”
Stannbridge Road, Haddenham
Transport bosses want to extend a 30mph speed limit here following the increased traffic nearby after housebuilding in the area.
100 per cent of people surveyed agreed with this move.
Bernwood councillor Judy Brandis said: “Stanbridge Road is a straight, fast road out of Haddenham so with the new houses built or about to be built 30 mph is fast enough on this road. I understand this will be imposed to just beyond the garden centre.”
A418 Scotsgrove Hill / Aylesbury Road
A 40mph limit could be introduced on this road if Bucks’ highways chiefs plans get the go-ahead.
This proposal is seemingly less popular with residents, with 61 per cent supporting the plans and 37 per cent opposing.
Haddenham Parish Council wrote: “Many residents have raised concerns with Haddenham Parish Council about the speed of vehicles at Scotsgrove.

“For several years the Parish Council has been working with Buckinghamshire County Council to implement the speed limit changes proposed in this consultation, it is therefore pleased to support the following speed limit changes: A418 Scotsgrove change to 40 mph.”
New Road, Weston Turville
An extension of the 40mph limit here is set to be approved, again because of the impact of new residential development.
Wendover, Halton & Stoke Mandeville councillor Carole Paternoster said: “I am very happy to support the extension of the 40mph speed limit in New Road, Weston Turville.”
