Marlow MP Joy Morrisey joined Making Marlow Dementia Friendly in a Zoom meeting, where the politician learned about the charity.
She joined the committee chairman and the founder Paul Bolton where they discussed how the charity has helped during the pandemic and what they have planned for the future.

The charity was set up in 2018.
A spokesperson from the charity said: “An absolute pleasure to hold our MMDF Steering Committee meeting with a very special guest, our MP Joy Morrissey, plus some colleagues from the MMDF Committee also attending.

“It was superb for our community project to have Joy’s kind attendance and recognition for all the hard work from volunteers in MMDF.
“A great experience for us to be able to share the challenges and opportunities we have in running our community project to raise awareness of dementia and bringing the local community together to make a difference to those living with the condition in the Marlow area.
“As organisations, businesses, and individuals everywhere, we have needed to greatly adapt, being creative and innovative in how we now operate MMDF.

The American-born Conservative was elected as Marlow’s MP in last year’s General Election, where she defeated Dominic Grieve, who had held the position for 22 years.
Morrissey received 32,477 votes in the election compared to Greive’s 16,765 votes.
