A crash involving a car and a lorry has shut off the M40 today - after the lorry overturned.
A man has been injured in the crash, which happened on the southbound carriageway between junction 2 for Beaconsfield and junction 1A for the M25 at around 7am.
Fire crews from Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross were called to assist at the scene at 7.09am but fortunately no one was trapped.
The lorry is apparently on its side across all lanes, according to Highways England.
Police say the southbound entry slip roads at J4, J3 and J2 are currently closed.
Diversion:
Motorists are being diverted and should follow the solid diamond symbol.
Exit the motorway at J2 and take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto the A355 north.
At the A40 roundabout take the 3rd exit and travel south easterly on the A40. Continue via Gerrards Cross to re-join the M40 at J1 (Denham).
