Steve Blake, who runs the Duke, said: “Music will play a strong part of the Duke’s environment where we have done away with the jukebox and brought in a new audio-visual experience.
“Music every day will be provided by a number of special guest virtual DJs from good contacts in the music industry and friends, with a host of amazing playlists for any time during the day or night.

“And outside space has never been so important than in this current environment, as we have a large outdoor area that is currently laid out for sensible two-metre social distancing.
“We have prepared the pub to be ready for when we could use outdoor or indoor areas which includes a one-way system in the front, out by a separate door, one-way traffic, disposable glasses, hand sanitiser and wipes, tables allocated safely and remote table service – done with a designated table for dropping off drinks and then collected by customers with no contact.
“There is nothing more important than people’s lives, and any pub opening has to be sensible, well prepared, and well delivered, so we are on it.”
The Duke was also excited to announce that popular Marlow chef Ling Poon, who used to work at the Coach and Horses, will be returning to the town to do eat in and takeaway Cantonese, Szechuan, and Peking dishes.
The pub also boasts a newly designed garden, deck, interior, and seating area.
Steve said: “I love this town and have done since arriving in 1966, aged three.

“The town deserves a great community-based pub at its core.
