AN 89-YEAR-OLD woman suffered a terrifying ordeal when two men dressed in black tried to break into her home.
She was asleep in her home in Aylesbury Road, Monks Risborough at 9.15pm on Thursday when the noise woke her. The men fled when they were disturbed.
They were dressed in black and wearing black face coverings and hats.
It is believed they may have been travelling in a silver Audi TT vehicle.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Gareth Cowley said: “This was an extremely frightening incident for the victim, an 89-year-old who was asleep when the offenders attempted to break into the property.
“We are appealing to anyone with information to contact the force as soon as possible. We are particularly interested to hear from anyone who saw a silver Audi TT car in the area, as we believe the offenders may have travelled in this vehicle."
