A Bucks dog has been reunited with her owners after she was stolen at the start of the week.

Belle the Springer Spaniel was taken from her family in Stoke Mandeville but thankfully on Wednesday, May 13, the pooch was returned.

On Thames Valley Police’s Aylesbury Vale’s Facebook page, they said: “A few days ago this gorgeous Springer Spaniel - Belle - was stolen from Stoke Mandeville.

"PC Labrum & PC Stubbings were able to reunite Belle with her family.

“Belle appeared in good health and was thrilled to be back home.”

The original post has been shared over 400 times and has received over 200 comments, with many people thanking the police officers for their hard work finding the dog.

Alice Rigby, who owns Belle, said: “Thank you so TVP Aylesbury Vale and DogLost Buckinghamshire for bringing our Belle home safe.

“After a week of absolute heartache and sadness what an inspiring story. A

“ story that will hopefully give other hope in finding their beloved pets and to show once again that we are an amazing community.... near and far.

“So once again, thank you, thank you, thank you.... from the bottom of our hearts.”

Others have also shown their appreciation to PC Labrum and PC Stubbings.

Angela Earwicker said: That’s so lovely you found her and welcome home Belle.
