Plans to extend the opening hours at the McDonald’s restaurant in Premier Way, High Wycombe, have been given the green light.
The proposal was submitted to allow the premises to open between 06:00 and 02:00 seven days a week and on bank holidays.
A proposal to extend the opening hours until 05:00 was withdrawn last February following concerns from Thames Valley Police in relation to 'crime and disorder and public nuisance matters'.
Planners have met with the force and agreed to reduce the opening time by three hours until 02.00.
One objectee representing the Premier Inn Hotel nearby said: “Acting on behalf of Premier Inn hotels Ltd we strongly object to any increase in opening hours.
“Their current opening hours already cause significant disruption to guests of the adjoining hotel either because of the drive-thru operation or larger gatherings in both the open car park and undercroft car park that is shared with the hotel.
“The hotel has notes of many complaints from guests about noise and even concerns over safety when using the shared car park late at night because of the gatherings of large numbers of youths who have been known to use both car parks for erratic and unsafe driving activities.”
Despite opposition, the proposals were approved.
