There has been a significant increase in coronavirus cases in Buckinghamshire, according to the new Government statistics.
Exactly one week ago, there were 300 cases in the county.
Fast forward to today, there are now 478 cases and it is expected that the number is set to grow as we enter the peak.
Nationally, there have been 88, 621 cases since the first case in February where 11,329 people have died from the illness.

It was also confirmed that 4,342 people across the UK had contracted the illness whilst 717 people had died from Covid-19.
In total, England has had 69,329 cases where 10,261 people have died, Scotland has had 6,067 cases where 566 people have lost their lives, there have been 5,610 in Wales where 384 people have died from the illness, whilst 1,882 people have contracted Covid-19 in Northern Ireland where 118 have passed away.
Due to the sudden increase in the county, people are doing their bit to donate unwanted pieces of equipment such as goggles, masks, and aprons to the NHS nurses who are currently working on the front line.

The good deed is being fronted by former Liberal Democrat candidate for Wycombe, Toni Brodelle, as many businesses, schools and members of the public have donated many goods to those working on the front line.

Globally, nearly two million people have contracted the coronavirus (1,938,786) whilst 120,851 people have died from the illness.
