The new Buckinghamshire Unitary Council has given advice to those who are dealing with takeaway businesses during the current coronavirus pandemic.
In a brief Twitter statement on April 1 (the day the new unitary council came into play), they urged the people of the county to ‘only take orders by phone or online’ to try and keep staff and customers safe from Covid-19.

They said: “To keep your staff and customers safe, only take orders by phone or online, take payment in a contactless way, give the customer a timed collection slot and ask customers to wait outside the door, two metres from other people.”
Businesses across the county and beyond have been severely impacted by the coronavirus, as the country is currently in an unspecified period of lockdown.
This has meant that several companies (both independent businesses and chains) have had to shut to due the pandemic.
So far, there have been 902,563 confirmed cases globally and 45,301 deaths.
