The plans also revealed that the ‘development is required to maximise opportunities for canopy cover’, and that ‘green walls could also be created where new enclosures are proposed, such as to the outdoor play areas.’
A greenery could also be planted within the parking area.
The nursery could accommodate up to 92 children, although the average occupancy is likely to be lower than this with the nursery's opening hours being Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm.
It will be closed on the weekends.
Additionally, the nursery is expected to generate up to 25 full-time jobs.
The plans will also see the creation of new car and cycle park spaces as well as other plants, landscaping and other ancillary works.
The document continued: “The existing three storey building was originally constructed as an office but has most recently been occupied by a Waitrose food store.
“The premises are currently vacant.
"The overall floor space of the existing building is not being changed by the proposal.
“The site is located within Marlow town centre and Marlow Conservation Area.
“The northern building façade to Chapel Street is located within the Marlow Air Quality Management Area.”
