The people of Marlow have expressed their concerns after a group of school children were allegedly seen throwing objects at cars.

One woman revealed that when she was on the town’s High Street on Tuesday evening, a group of young boys aged under 14, threw an object which was ‘something like a stone’, which cracked the driver’s windscreen.

The alleged act of vandalism happened near the town’s Zizzi restaurant.

The woman said on social media: “I have three shocked and upset children who were in the car at the time and a windscreen that needs repairing.

“So disappointing when you see children acting this way.”

The post has seen many other people from Marlow offer the woman support and have encouraged the driver to report the incident to the police.

This comes after teenagers were again spotted running and climbing on the rooftops of some buildings in the High Street in Marlow.

Thames Valley Police said: "We can confirm that we have received a report, where at around 8pm on Tuesday, February 18, a male youth threw an object in the air over the road and it has landed on a car cracking the windscreen.

"No one was injured.

"An investigation is ongoing and we would ask anyone with CCTV on the street that has captured the incident or any witnesses to the incident to please contact Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference 43200057019."
