Two of Tom Kerridge’s pubs have been named as some of the best Gastropubs in the UK.
The chef, who owns both The Coach and the Hand and Flowers in Marlow, saw each eatery make their way into the top 50 Gastropubs with the latter being 12th on the list, whilst the former being fifth.

The Coach, which is situated on West Street in the town, has maintained its position in the top five for a second consecutive year with the judges being impressed with the the Coach burger, which is made up of smoked brisket and West Country cheddar; a sea bream fillet with braised leeks and parmesan velouté; chicken Kiev with cauliflower cheese and their mushroom ‘risotto’ Claude Bosi.

The Hand of Flowers, which is also on West Street, has two Michelin stars to its name, with the judges again being impressed with the food the pub has to offer, such as a loin of Cotswold venison and maple roast pumpkin, game sausage, lime pickle and spiced crispy chickpeas, an Essex lamb ‘bun’ with sweetbreads and salsa verde and fillet of Stokes Marsh Farm beef with Hand & Flowers chips and Béarnaise sauce.
