Actor Hugh Grant has backed Dominic Grieve in next month's General Election battle - and called him "brave".
The Love Actually and Bridget Jones star took to social media on Wednesday night to announce his support for some pro-second EU referendum candidates across the country.
He said Mr Grieve - who was ousted from the Conservatives over his Brexit views earlier this year and is now standing as an independent in the Beaconsfield constituency - was "brave".
The actor added that it was "very unlike me" but he was "going on the stump" to try and support some pro-referendum candidates with "great chances of winning Tory-held seats".
Mr Grieve responded to the tweet to say he was "pleased and privileged to have your support and look forward to seeing you".
