A brand-new craft beer and liquor bar will open in Marlow next month.
The Crafty Taproom, which will occupy the unit which was held by Café Copia, will serve a wide range of craft beer, wine and liquor.
The new addition to Marlow’s High Street will also offer a variety of food as they plan to have a different cuisine themed month.
The bar was founded by Phil Reeve and will be a family-run business, with Phil’s wife, Johanna, daughters, Lois, and Mia, and brothers-in-law, Dan and Harry, all set to work at the Crafty Taproom.
Phil told the Bucks Free Press: “We live in Maidenhead but we know Marlow quite well as we come here a fair bit.
“That’s why we wanted to open up here because we felt there was a real opportunity for craft beer to be in the town, as there isn’t really an offering at the moment.
“It’s been a dream of ours for a long time but we’ve just managed to get the funds together and we’ve made it happen.
“We were going to do it in Maidenhead but we thought Marlow would be a better location."
Johanna then added: “At the moment it’s mainstream beer that is sold in pubs so we’re going to be bespoke without any mainline breweries – it’s all going to be one-off small, local breweries.
“But we’re also going to bring the best craft beers from around the country and abroad."
According to this year’s British Craft Beer Report by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), craft beer is one of the most popular drinks in the UK, with there being a 0.8 per cent increase of beer lovers purchasing the drink over the last year.
The report also revealed that 45 per cent of consumers are happy to pay more for genuine craft beer.
The bar is due to open in mid-November and will be dog-friendly.
Johanna added: “Marlow is a lovely town and it’s very busy.
"I personally think you can’t get enough place to eat and drink because you get people from outside of Marlow who come and visit.
“So, with that being said, we’ll be doing food but small plates like Tapas and we’re going to do themes months such as Spanish, Hungarian, Chinese, Indian and so on.
“We’re open to anything as we’re very flexible.”
The Crafty Taproom have leased out the unit from Sorbon Estates.
