Naturalist, TV presenter and adventurer Steve Backshall has recently revealed that he has joined the Green Party.
The 46-year-old who lives just outside of Marlow, announced the news in Newport, when he and the party’s former leader Caroline Lucas MP, co-hosted a talk about climate change.

Over the last three months, Steve has been advocating for changes to be made to prevent global warming, which includes pleaded to the public to not speed in their boats on the Thames, as this can cause death to a number of animals who live in the river.
Additionally, he hosted a talk at the town's Crowne Plaza last month to raise money for the Kogi People in Columbia, whose land has been affected by climate change.

Prior to moving to the Green Party, Steve was a member of the Labour Party.
