Beaconsfield crash: Teenager who died named locally as talented Burnham FC footballer

A teenager who died in a crash in Beaconsfield on Tuesday night has been named locally as a talented footballer. 

Tributes have been paid to Luca Skivington, the son of Burnham Football Club chairman Glenn Skivington and a player for the team, who died in a car crash in Windsor End. 

The football club put a message out on their Twitter sending their "sincere condolences" following the tragic crash.

It said: "We are all devastated, our thoughts are with the family". 

Also writing on social media, Asher James said he has "felt numb and in shock" since hearing the news. 

He said: "Having grown close to the Skivington family makes this 100x harder, so young and such a talent but more importantly a great person and we are all going to miss him dearly. He will not be forgotten RIP Luca.

Paul Shone wrote: "Absolute devastating news this morning to be told this. I’m in shock and I send my deepest of thoughts and condolences to Glenn, Michele and Marco. He’ll be missed by us all," while George Weller tweeted: "Lost for words. A special player, team mate and most importantly, friend. Passionate with every step, we will do everything this season for you. Every match we play is for you, every pass, shot and tackle dedicated #forLuca Rest in Peace brother."

A number of fellow football clubs also sent their condolences. 

Stoke Poges Saints FC said: "Such sad news, our condolences to the family", while Maidenhead United wrote: "The thoughts of all at Maidenhead United Football Club are with you and the Skivington family at this sad time."
