A car was overturned and abandoned in Chesham on Friday night - but vital clues about the identity of those who fled were left behind.
The black Hyundai flipped over on Drydell Lane, which is part of the Pednor Loop and popular with cyclists and walkers, on Friday night.
And while the occupants had fled the scene, police say specks of blood were left behind - which forensics will examine.
The vehicle had suffered damage - including a shattered rear window and broken lights - but it is not clear if this happened when it overturned or if it happened before.
Who was driving the car and why they abandoned is not clear.
To the chaps who abandoned this vehicle last night; here's how it was removed.

In a video posted on Twitter, officers from the Chiltern and South Bucks teams showed how the vehicle had to be dragged and flipped upright onto a recovery van to remove it from the narrow country road.
