Staff at Tiggywinkles Animal Hospital were given somewhat of a shock earlier today when a brightly coloured bird was brought into the hospital.

Although it may appear to be a tropical bird in the first image, it actually turned out to be a herring gull which had somehow become covered in either curry powder or turmeric.

Speaking on social media, the hospital confirmed that: "Our vet team bravely gave him a bath and he is now looking much better. As we say, we never know what will come through our doors next!"
