Emergency services were called to a busy Beaconsfield town centre road this afternoon after a pedestrian was hit by a lorry.
Shocked eyewitnesses told the Bucks Free Press a woman had been hit by a lorry as she was crossing the road in Maxwell Road.
Thames Valley Police said they were called to the scene just after 2pm and the road was shut while enquiries were carried out.
South Central Ambulance Service said the woman was in her mid-60s and fortunately escaped serious injury.
The woman was complaining of back pain and was taken by ambulance to Wexham Park Hospital for further assessment.
