A local seven-year-old has worked incredibly hard to raise money and resources for Tiggywinkles.
Amelie Upton has made an outstanding accomplishment of raising money and resources for Tiggywinkles, the specialist animal hospital located in Bucks, in hopes that she would receive her Brownie charity badge.
Amelie raised incredible amounts through a plethora of ways, varying from door to door donations gathering over £150 to approaching local retailers including supermarkets both verbally, by email and by letter asking for their help.
She gave an informative presentation to her brownie group asking for their help by donating small items requested. Her group gladly stepped up and helped.
Amelie also did a school assembly presentation asking for donations of cat and dog food which again was very successful.
Amelie even held a coffee morning during the Easter holidays to raise money for animal stretchers for injured deer, having two companies kindly donate a stretcher each. After the coffee morning was a mass success, she raised over £160.
Furthermore, her kindness and dedication did not stop there, she will be running a book stall for Little Chalfont village day in June using social media to amass book donations and even wrote to Manor Signs in Aylesbury to ask if they could help with signage to promote the stall on the day.
They kindly donated two signs and Amelie got to partake in the whole design process.
Lorraine Upton, mother of Amelie said: “As parents we are very proud of Amelie’s achievements to help Tiggywinkles. She has shown great care, consideration and dedication in her efforts towards a charity she is very keen to support.”
