A bomb disposal squad was spotted in Cookham this morning.
Police officers were called by members of the public last night (May 4) who said they had pulled a number of items of historic ordnance from the river near Cookham Bridge through magnet fishing.
They closed off roads around the bridge while the items were removed to a “safe location” and “guarded”.
Bomb disposal units were sent out this morning and the items were disposed of safely.
It comes after Marlow Bridge was closed twice in three days last month after historic live ammunition was pulled out of the river by a member of the public.
