As news broke last week that Lidl will be opening up a new store at the old Homebase site on London Road in High Wycombe, we asked readers if they were happy with the decision.
Readers responded in their droves and an online poll revealed the store that residents would most like to see open up was B&M.
Thirty-eight per cent of readers who took part in the poll said they wanted the home furnishings retailer to come to High Wycombe - the most popular option.
so we asked B&M if they would consider opening up in the town, and the good news is bosses 'are looking to increase' their presence in Bucks.
A spokesman for B&M told the Bucks Free Press: “We’re delighted shoppers want to see a B&M in High Wycombe.
“We open 50 stores a year so we’re always looking for new sites and to increase the number of stores across Buckinghamshire.”
Out of 488 votes cast, 15 per cent said they were pleased with another Lidl in the town.
Thirty-eight per cent said they would prefer to see B&M, while 34 per cent said The Range.
Seven per cent suggested the site could be a coffee shop or Costa drive-thru - as previously mooted before plans fell through - and six per cent suggested it could be used for housing.
