The M40 has reopened this morning, 14 hours after a crash involving a caravan travelling the wrong way, which resulted in hours of tailbacks.
However, there were still heavy delays on both carriageways this morning.
Following yesterday's serious incident, police had already reopened the southbound carriageway, but resurfacing work meant that the northbound carriageway remained closed until just before 7am.
All the vehicles involved were recovered around 11.30pm last night and emergency resurfacing works were completed at 5am before the carriageway was reopened.
Slow traffic was still impacting commuters this morning, will queues stretching from just past Cadmore End and Stokenchurch to beyond Lewknor, from junction 5 to 8A.
Police have not yet confirmed if anyone has been seriously injured or if any arrests have been made.
Officers now want anyone with footage of the car or the crash to contact them.
Call on 101 quoting reference 832 (15/10).
