Dozens of eager shoppers queued up to be the first into the new Aldi supermarket as it opened on Thursday morning.
Victoria Thornley, who won silver in the Womens’ Double Skull event at Rio 2016, officially opened Aldi’s new High Wycombe store in Baker Street.
The first 30 customers who arrived at the store each received a complimentary bag of fruit and vegetables.

Store Manager, David Finlayter, added: “Thanks to Victoria and everybody who came down this morning for making our store opening so memorable.”
Cllr Steven Broadbent, cabinet member for economic development and regeneration at Wycombe District Council, added: “From the outset we’ve worked to help bring this successful retailer into the town as part of our regeneration.”
