A fallen tree caused traffic chaos on a busy road in Loudwater this afternoon.
London Road was blocked off by police at the Rayners Avenue junction after a large tree fell across the entire carriageway - but one lane has since reopened.
Eyewitnesses reported cars turning round in the road to avoid the chaos, but traffic was also being diverted up Rayners Avenue and Robinson Road to Hammersley Lane.
Emergency services were on the scene and drivers were being asked to avoid the area. The tree has since been chopped back and is now only partially blocking the bus lane heading towards High Wycombe.
The road was closed between Rayners Avenue and Hammersley Lane.
