A Wycombe district councillor and former mayor has been selected to represent Labour at the next general election.
Khlalil Ahmed, who represents the Disraeli ward for WDC and is chairman of Wycombe Labour, will take on current MP Steve Baker and other candidates for the Wycombe seat at the next election.
His selection as parliamentary candidate was announced on social media on Sunday.
Wycombe Labour tweeted their congratulations, adding: "He is a keen and committed activist that understands Wycombe very well. A local choice for the people of Wycombe."
It was announced by Wycombe Tories in March that current MP Steve Baker would stand in the next election, whenever it may be called.
