Plans to build a £2 million boathouse in a Marlow park are still up in the air.
The boathouse, in Gossmore Park, would provide somewhere rowers at Sir William Borlase’s and Great Marlow School to store their equipment.
The schools currently use the field at Longridge.
The plans were submitted to Wycombe District Council by the Marlow and District Schools Boathouse Trust, which branded it a “true community project”, in August, with a decision expected to be made by November 8.
But the proposals received dozens of objections, with residents concerned about traffic and parking issues the development could cause.
And now, Wycombe District Council has confirmed the application remains with it for determination and it has been asked to keep the application open to “allow time for the applicant to fully consider the issues raised by statutory consultees and third parties”.
It is not known until when it will stay open.
