A supermarket in a south Bucks village was “ram-raided” last night.
Police said thieves drove two vehicles at the Co-op, in Market Place, Chalfont St Peter, at around 11.50pm yesterday (Monday).
They broke into the building and stole a cash machine from the front of the store before fleeing in the vehicles.
The store is currently closed and there are reassurance patrols outside.
Police spokesman James Williams said: "We have conducted a search of the area, and will now be progressing house to house enquiries as well as obtaining and reviewing CCTV."
