Sherlock fans in High Wycombe took to social media last night after the town was mentioned multiple times on the popular BBC show.
The episode, entitled The Lying Detective, saw High Wycombe mentioned several times, including, Dr Watson asking Sherlock: “Do you go for a discreet Harvester sometimes? Is there a night of passion in High Wycombe?” followed by: “Just text her back...Because High Wycombe is better than you are currently equipped to understand.”
To which Sherlock quipped: “I once caught a triple poisoner in High Wycombe.”
Excited fans of the show tweeted their delight, with one commenting: “#Sherlock can't stop mentioning #HighWycombe tonight!”
One even said the town's new slogan should be, “High Wycombe is better than you are currently equipped to understand.”
