Four men accused of sex offences have been cleared.
The men, all in their early twenties, were initially charged alongside four others after a lengthy police investigation into reports of a series of sexual offences against one victim.
In a statement, police have today officially confirmed that all charges were dropped against Flackwell Heath men Steven Douglas and Alex Foale and Wooburn Green man Ryan Squire on the first day of their trial.
Mr Douglas, 21, of Fennels Way, was arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 19 with two counts of offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15. All charges have now been dropped.
Mr Foale, 20, of Green Dragon Lane, was arrested on February 12 last year and charged on April 20 with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15. All charges have now been dropped.
Mr Squire, 22, of Coaters Lane, was arrested on February 10 last year and was charged on April 20 with three counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15. All charges have now been dropped.
Another man, Nemanja Meletic, from London, was acquitted following a trial.
Meletic, aged 24, of Mount Pleasant Road, was arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 19 with one count of causing/inciting a child aged 13-17 to prostitution/pornography, and six counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.
