Candles, soft toys and ornaments still mark the spot where Lee Gillespie was murdered exactly one year ago today.
The brutal murder of 26-year-old Lee shocked the High Wycombe community on August 22 last year.
In the middle of the busy town centre on a Saturday night, he was stabbed repeatedly in the face, neck and chest outside All Saints Church in front of terrified onlookers.
The emergency services were called to the scene at 8.50pm, but despite giving Lee CPR, paramedics were unable to save him.
His former partner, Beaconsfield woman Jodie Willis, was handed a life sentence and told to serve a minimum of 20 years for ordering his murder.
One year on since the brutal killing and Lee's devastated family and friends are still maintaining a shrine at the spot where he lost his life.
The sea of candles, ornaments and teddy bears in memory of the father-of-two serves as a tragic reminder to the High Wycombe community of the shocking murder that left the Gillespie family without their son, brother, father and grandson.
