A man hurled racist abuse at a woman as she walked through a park with her daughter in High Wycombe on Friday.
A manhunt is now underway, with the shocking incident coming in the same week that social media users reported a rise in alleged hate crimes in town.
The 27-year-old victim of the latest attack was walking though Desborough Recreation Ground, off Fryers Lane, at about 12.25pm on Friday, when she was targeted by a man making racist comments.
Detectives are now urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The suspect, between 21 and 25-years-old, is described as slim with ginger hair. He was wearing a red sleeveless top and jeans.
He was with a black man, about 25-years-old, slim, with short black hair and wearing black clothing.
Investigating officer, PC Mark Palethorpe, said: "This was an upsetting incident for the victim and I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this to come forward.
"Nobody should have to tolerate racism.
"We would ask anyone who feels that they are a victim or a witness of hatred or intolerance to report it to us by calling 101, or via the Thames Valley Hate Crime Network, our third party reporting method, by calling 0300 1234 148."
If you have any information, call police on 101 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
