Two lanes of the M25 have been closed while engineers recover the wreckage of a lorry which caught on fire in the early hours of this morning.
Bucks Fire and Rescue crews tackled the lorry blaze earlier today after receiving 999 calls just before 5.30am.
The fire, between junction 16 (M40 interchange) and 17 (Maple Cross), caused traffic chaos for many motorists this morning, with workers now shutting lane one and two again as they remove the vehicle.
Four fire crews from across Bucks, Slough and Rickmansworth were called out to the incident, with firefighters using two hose reels and two sets of breathing apparatus while extinguishing the flames.
There is still queuing traffic and congestion expected as engineers try to recover the burnt-out trailer.
More as we get it.
