An iconic Bucks building is set to appear in a major BBC drama that starts this weekend.  

The Clare Charity Centre in Saunderton will take a step back in time for 1950s drama 'Partners in Crime'. 

The six part drama will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s birth.

The cast includes award winning actor and comedian David Walliams who will be playing the lead role of Tommy opposite Jessica Raine as Tuppence.

A 70 strong film crew set up base at the Wycombe Road building and estate last Autumn where the property’s period façade and drive, sweeping staircase and internal Saunderton Suite room were recreated as a 1950’s factory and Managing Director’s office. 

Martin Gallagher, CEO of The Clare Foundation, said:"The Clare Charity Centre is an iconic 1950s building with many original features and it has been used as a filming location several times because of its unique character.

"When an executive of Endor Productions knocked on our door looking for an appropriate location for the Agatha Christie drama, we were delighted to get involved.

"Being part of a period drama is a fantastic way to take one of Buckinghamshire’s amazing heritage buildings back in time and I look forward to seeing it on screen."

The drama will be aired on BBC One on Sunday, July 26 at 9pm.
