A sweet collaboration between two Marlow residents has given the town its very own chocolate bar, which is now on sale.
Spittal Street sweet shop Beehive Treats is now stocking the ‘Love Marlow, Love Chocolate’ bar, which has a colourful wrapper depicting town landmarks.
It was designed by successful artist and illustrator Nicola Metcalfe from Marlow Bottom, who was approached by shop owner Lisa Arnold to design a new confectionary range after she saw her artwork.
Nicola said: "It was a proposal I couldn't resist. I have the same problem with chocolate.”
Lisa said the chocolate bars have proved a huge hit, with one customer snapping up six for friends and family in Australia.
And the creative pair said the range may expand to other products in future.
Illustrator Nicola has previously been commissioned by the Tate Gallery to produce artwork depicting London landmarks, and later gave Marlow’s buildings and history the same colourful treatment.
