A councillor who has been responsible for overseeing the town’s budget says residents should help his party "retain the impetus" of their ‘Vision' for Marlow.
Conservative Bob Johnson last year headed up the financial Resources Committee on Marlow Town Council, which has not increased its share of council tax bills since 2011.
The all-Conservative council says it spent the last four years prioritising its Vision pledge, which covers town issues ranging from sport and culture to sustainability and transport matters.
And this year's deputy mayor Cllr Johnson urged voters not to break the line up at next week’s election.
He said: “The Conservative team have worked hard for the residents and businesses to create the vibrant town we have today and want to continue doing this good work for the next four years.”
Competition for places on the town council is fierce, with a Liberal Democrat, five Ukip and one independent candidate all vying for a spot in the two town wards going to the public vote.
Ukip say their goal is to give more power to the town council by fighting for a unitary authority for the county and handing more responsibility at the local level.
While independent candidate John Ansell says he has thrown has hat into the ring to offer an alternative view to the elected Conservative body.
