Bags of rubbish are piling up outside a Downley block of flats after the council failed to collect bins for more than two weeks.
Suzanna Clothier, 42, said she is worried pests might be attracted to her property in The Pastures after the council missed multiple bin collections.
The nursery nurse, who is asthmatic, said the council workmen usually come weekly, but the last time she remembers them coming is Monday, March 23.
She said: “How long is it going to be before we get rats? It’s disgusting. You can’t even open the door to get fresh air because all you can smell is rubbish.”
Catherine Spalton, spokesman for Wycombe District Council, said: “We are aware that there have been a couple of missed bin collections in recent weeks at this property, which is in a block of flats in Downley.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience or concern that this has caused and can assure local residents that we have prioritised getting the rubbish collected. Longer term, we are looking into why this has happened and how it can be prevented in the future.”
