This week, we speak to Alma Cruz, office worker, from Beaconsfield who drinks in The Royal Saracens Head, Old Town Beaconsfield.
What do you like about the Royal Saracens Head?
I really like the atmosphere in here. It’s the kind of place you can pop in to have a drink or come for a nice meal. It’s right on the High Street, so location is really handy and it’s just a lovely place to chill out in.
How often do you come here?
Probably once a week. I like to come in at the weekends.
How long have you been coming here for?
I’m fairly new to the area, so not very long, but it already feels like my local.
What do you usually drink?
Gin and tonic.
Where is your favourite seat?
By the window, on what I call the barrel tables. You can sit there and watch the world go by.
What are the staff like?
They are really friendly.
Do you still think there’s a place for pubs in today’s society? Why?
Definitely and I hope that never changes. It’s a place for people to come and relax and meet up with friends. I think pubs are so important in today’s society.
