AN open evening at Amersham and Wycombe college is aiming to help people find out how they can best achieve their ambitions in a range of subjects including photography, graphic design, TV production, make up, music, dance and animation.
The college is known in the region for its arts-based courses and is a founder member of the National Skills Academy Creative and Cultural in recognition of its strong provision in creative industries.
The college is also the birthplace of the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and offers a range of courses for budding entrepreneurs - many of which have gone on to realise their dreams of starting their own business.
New provision for September 2014 at Amersham include Levels 1/3 Carpentry and Joinery courses and Levels 2/3 courses in Applied Science.
For students seeking a direct route into employment, the College offers 30 different Apprenticeships at Level 2 and 3, covering accounting, business & enterprise, childcare, electrical, gas & plumbing, hair & beauty, health and social care, ICT and technical theatre.
At the time of writing there are more than 10 apprenticeship vacancies listed on the college website. Whether you are aged 16 and looking to take your first steps in further education, or 60 and looking for more creative ways to spend your time, the college has a range of courses to choose from.
The open evening runs next Wednesday, March 19, at the Amersham campus in Stanley Hill, from 6pm to 8.30pm.
