HIGH winds have brought down trees across the county, with council response teams battling to keep roads clear as harsh conditions look set to continue overnight.
Transport for Bucks confirmed it has received reports of 45 fallen trees, with emergency crews on alert since this morning.
A large tree fell across the A40 between Loudwater and Holtspur this afternoon around 1pm, closing the road but avoiding any oncoming traffic.
Reports have also been received that trees have fallen on Amersham Road in Hazlemere and Risborough Road near Little Kimble.
The Met Office have issued warnings of between 20mm and 40mm of rain and wind with gusts of up to 60mph, with the Environment Agency issuing minor flood warnings affecting the River Thames.
When storms hit the county in October, the clean up was estimated to cost around £100,000.
