FURTHER traffic calming measures for a Beaconsfield speeding hotspot have been agreed by county councillors.
Last year, Beaconsfield Town Council successfully bid for funding towards speed cushions on Holtspur Top Lane as part of Bucks County Council's Local Area Forum fund.
And now the highways authority has vowed to finish the job by pledging support to the project for 2014/15, subject to a funding agreement.
Phase one included installing speed cushions between Top Farm Close and 100m north of Cherry Tree Road.
And the second phase will extend the scheme south to Ivins Lane and include a further pairs of cushions northwards on Holtspur Top Lane to beyond the Hampden Hill and Riding Lane junctions.
A BCC consultation on continuing revealed the majority of people to be in favour of the work, though fears were raised over its necessity and the damage speed cushions can do to cars.
