High winds are expected in the south of the country later this afternoon and overnight, leading to safety concerns over rail journeys.
Network Rail has instructed franchise operators to run their services at a lower than usual speed.
Chiltern Railways, which operates the mainline service through Bucks on the London to Birmingham line, has said trains will run at 50mph rather than their usual speed of 100mph. The company has said the restrictions will be in place from 7pm tonight until 7am tomorrow.
