If you are stuck for ideas of how to fill the Christmas holiday period - and fancy burning off a few festive calories at the same time - the Chilterns Conservation Board may have just the thing for you.
The organisation has selected its '12 Walks of Christmas' and is encouraging Bucks residents to pull on thier boots and Christmas jumper and head out into the countryside.
The walks range from an easy stroll through the parkland of Hughenden Manor and around Downley Common to a six mile walk along the banks of the River Thames and up into the woods near Bourne End.
There’s also a walk from Christmas Common near Stokenchurch, the most festive-sounding village in the UK.
Aside from the spectacular views and a pub or two along the way you can also keep an eye out for red kites soaring overhead.
