SLEIGH rides, Christmas music and a visit from Santa brought festive cheer to Old Amersham on Saturday.
A Christmas-themed community day organised by Amersham Town Council took place, with festive activities taking place throughout the day.
The fun got underway at 10.30am with a performance from the Amersham Community Brass Band, with music also being provided by The New Flames and the St Leonards Youth Choir.
A total of 17 Christmas market stalls lined the streets as visitors snapped up some last minute presents.
Steve Catanach, Community Officer for Amersham Town Council, said: "It was a fantastic day with lots of festive cheer. Father Christmas brought a smile to the children’s faces while the smell of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine lingered in the air."
