DILAPIDATED lights in a road in Princes Risborough have been fixed after concerns were raised over safety.
Cllr Gary Hall complained about the poor standard and lack of Bucks County Council lighting on A4010 Wycombe Road.
He said: "The darkest part of the road is when motorists reduce speed from 50mph to 30mph and enter the supposed BCC street lighting area provided for road user's safety."
Cllr Hall said one of the lanterns had been fixed with cable ties and was smashed in places, while others were covered with shrubbery.
He added: "The A4010 is a challenging road for all users and their safety is being compromised by a lack of attention and maintenance."
Transport for Buckinghamshire street lighting department carried out a site visit.
Three outages were picked up during the night time patrol, which have now been attended along with the installation of a new lantern and some minor tree trimming as necessary.
