A SUPPORT service helping young mums through pregnancy and their child’s early years has celebrated its own first birthday.
The event, earlier this month, marked both successful implementation of the Buckinghamshire Family Nurse Partnership programme and the success of its young clients and their babies.
The Partnership is a voluntary home visiting programme for first time young mums, aged 19 or under (and dads). A specially trained family nurse visits the young mum regularly, from early in pregnancy until the child is two.
FNP Bucks is now established as one of 90 FNP sites in England, Scotland and Ireland.
