A HUSBAND and wife team hope to create a home from home for children in Chesham after taking over a nursery in the town.
Rohit and Panita Santa have given a new lease of life to the Monkey Puzzle nursery in Fullers Hill after taking over the ownership.
New equipment has been bought as part of a refurbishment and the number of families interested in using the nursery has soared.
The Santas, both aged 34, have been looking to set up their new business since 2009 - and despite living in Uxbridge they have chosen to set up in Chesham instead.
Mr Santa said: "It's a very close-knit community and we wanted to be part of that community. We saw there was a market for an outstanding nursery and that's what we are aiming to create.
"We're creating a welcoming environment for children to express themselves, grow, learn and fit in with the ethos of the nursery. It's about creating a home from home.
"We've always wanted to open a nursery and came across many sites. We've had a lot of ups and downs."
He added: "The existing parents are very pleased with the progress and where we've taken it in a short space of time. They're being very positive in their feedback and new parents have come in."
