A DANCER who starred in a Jessie J video is hoping to encourage more youngsters to get moving by starting lessons in Prestwood.

Jenna Murphy, 25, will start The Body Grooves Academy on January 27 at Prestwood Village Hall.

She said: "It is a free style dance school with commercial, street, jazz- quite a few things.

"I am waiting to see what classes are popular.

"At the moment most of the interest is for the more commercial."

Jenna lives in Great Kingshill and went to Amersham and Wycombe College before training at the Performers College in London.

She then toured and spent a year dancing in Paris and a year in Greece.

She moved back to London and did some work with Jessie J and Sean Paul.

Jenna was in Jessie J's début single video, Do It Like A Dude. She said: "It was brilliant. She is a really lovely person and so talented. "I was a bit star struck."

But she said her passion has always been teaching and is looking forward to starting the lessons and hopes to expand into Amersham. Jenna said she hopes to show youngsters how they can further their career in dance and if they don't want to do that- just to have fun.

The classes start on January 27 at Prestwood Village Hall from 6 to 8pm. Junior classes will run from 6 to 6.45pm and senior from 6.45 to 7.30pm.

The last 30 minutes has been kept free to see what pupils are interested in. It is £5 a class. The first class is a free trial- just turn up.
