THE former magistrates’ court in Beaconsfield has become the new home of the Buckinghamshire coroner.
This means the county’s inquests - legal investigations into the circumstances surrounding a person’s death – will be now heard in the old Victorian court house in Beaconsfield Old Town, instead of High Wycombe Law Courts.
The red brick building at 29 Windsor End, which has more recently been used as a filming location and council office, will also be a registrars’ office and civil ceremony venue, with the number of ceremonies expected to be in the region of 150 per year.
