Bank Holiday Vintage Thames Steamer Cruises, August 27, from 11am, Bourne End Marina, Wharf Lane, Bourne End. 50 minute trips on the 1883 steam passenger vessel Alaska. It has acted as the Royal Barge twice this year, most recently carrying the Queen and Princes Philip at Henley-on-Thames for the garden party. Trips depart on the hour with the last trip at 5pm. CPSA Beer Festival, 12pm onwards, until August 27, Chalfont St Peter Cricket Club, Chalfont Park, Chalfont St Peter. Chalfont Park will hold its first of what will be an annual beer festival over the August bank holiday. Working with a wide range of local suppliers. There will be huge range of ales, activities for all ages including face painting and inflatables for the kids, a mini food and drink village along side a fully packed music line up and cricket and softball scheduled in for the duration of the festival.

Hawridge and Cholesbury Churches Fete, 1.30pm onwards, Hawridge and Cholesbury School, Hawridge Hill, Chesham.Everyone is very welcome to come and enjoy a fun afternoon at the Hawridge and Cholesbury Churches fete between 1.30pm and 5pm. The fete is being held at Hawridge and Cholesbury School - please note that as it is on school grounds dogs are not allowed. We have some new stalls this year including ‘Pedal for a Smoothie’, a Pimms Tent and a bouncy castle, plus the old favourites including Splat the Rat, various tombolas, books, ‘Hook a Duck’ and toys. We will tempt your taste buds with a barbecue, ice creams, homemade cakes and scones. Locally grown plants are currently being potted up ready for sale, and the Ellesborough Silver Band will be playing - there is something for everyone to enjoy and we hope you can join us.
